"When they tear down your favorite ballpark, they take a piece of your heart with it." — Ken Small, Founder of Home Fields

It Started With a Broken Heart and a Wood Shop
Ken Small grew up the number one White Sox fan in America. When they tore down Comiskey Park, he felt it the way only a true fan can — a piece of his childhood, gone forever.
He wanted something on the shelf in his office. Something he could glance at every day and be instantly transported back — back to the crack of the bat, the smell of the park, the memories made in those seats. He wanted Comiskey Park. And the Orange Bowl alongside it.
Today, when Ken walks into his office, he can mentally be in his favorite stadiums any time he wants.
That's exactly what he wants for you too.
From Wood Shop to 160 Stadiums
It actually started even earlier — in 7th grade Wood Shop class in Sterling, Illinois, 100 miles west of Chicago. While every other kid made a bookcase for their final project, Ken made the Georgia Tech football stadium. Some people are just wired differently.
Ken went on to graduate from the University of Miami, where he spent five years as a sports writer at the Miami Herald and served as Editorial Promotion Director. He founded Dolphin Digest — the weekly publication still in existence today — before becoming Marketing Director of the Miami Dolphins, traveling with the team and experiencing NFL stadiums across the country up close.
Atlanta came calling when soccer was expanding, and Ken joined the Turner-owned Atlanta Chiefs as Marketing Director, sharing office space with the Braves at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium. Atlanta became home.
In 1999, Ken Small founded Home Fields in Atlanta, GA, going to market with 11 Southern stadiums. Today, Ken, his wife Marsha, and the Home Fields team produce over 160 handmade replica stadiums spanning college football, college basketball, pro football, baseball, and hockey — available in three sizes: 9", 13", and 19" — all lit with LEDs that flood each field and bring every venue to life.
The History on the Back of each Stadium
As a former sports writer, Ken takes tremendous pride in the stadium history he personally writes for the back of every replica. He calls it the intrinsic value of the stadium. A lot of fans call it their favorite part.
"I wanted something on a shelf in my office that I could look at every day and recall my good times at Comiskey Park. When I'm in my office now, I can mentally be in my favorite stadiums. I hope your Home Field can do the same for you."— Ken Small
Carrying It Forward
In February 2026, Home Fields welcomed new ownership. Steve and Steven liked the product so much they bought the company! They are committed to carrying forward everything Ken created — the handcrafted quality, the attention to detail, and the mission of helping fans reconnect with the stadiums they love. Ken remains close to the business as a special advisor, and his fingerprints will always be on every stadium we make.
