For 25 years the St. Louis Blues skated on ice that never knew a champion — until June 2019, when the Enterprise Center finally erupted in Stanley Cup glory. Opened in October 1994 as the Kiel Center on the former site of the historic Kiel Auditorium, the 18,096-seat arena was built by a coalition of St. Louis business leaders determined to keep the Blues from leaving town. It has since gone through four names — Kiel Center, Savvis Center, Scottrade Center, and Enterprise Center — but the passion in the building has never changed. St. Louis is one of the NHL's great hockey cities, and the Enterprise Center reflects that: nearly two million fans pass through its doors each year for 175-plus events. The 2020 NHL All-Star Game lit the building up just months after that first championship banner was raised.
